A dental implant permanently replaces a missing tooth while looking, feeling and functioning like a normal tooth.
Benefits of Dental Implants:
Stronger than a natural root
You’ll never need a root canal or filling
Maintains the health and shape of the bone
Neighboring teeth won’t need to be filed or damaged
What’s the difference between an implant and a bridge?
A bridge uses the adjacent teeth to secure the new or replacement tooth. Often a bridge is comprised of two crowns that go over the adjacent teeth with the new prosthetic tooth in the middle, thus forming a “bridge.” To place a bridge, the neighboring, healthy teeth will need to be permanently filed down. An implant does not affect the neighboring teeth.
